The Caldwell House Restaurant Martini Bar

The food is so yummy. Service was great. You have to make reservations in advance or you will not get a table.

Can not believe I’ve been coming to the Lake George area and didn’t know about this place until my last visit. We had the most wonderful food and service experience. We sat at the bar because we did not make a reservation. Karina, the bartender, was so attentive and helpful making suggestions as we wanted to be sure to order the best dishes. My husband had the queen cut prime rib and said it was divine. The portion was huge. Friends ordered salmon. The early bird menu is a great way to try a few different things from the menu and such a great value! Can’t say enough about this LG establishment other than we will be back every time we head upstate.

We have enjoyed several fabulous meals here in the past couple of months. Two birthdays in January, a couple meals in February and dinner on Easter Sunday. The food has been mouth watering on EVERY occasion, no matter what we have ordered. The staff is fantastic from the hostess to the waitresses and any one else that works there. They are all friendly without being overbearing and this contributes to an overall fantastic dining experience. The ambience is relaxing and rustic and the huge fireplace is beautiful. I highly recommend them (and do all the time since I work at the outlets and always have people asking for a good place to eat). They are a hidden gem amongst the Lake George area and our go to place for dinner.

We just visited Caldwell House for the first time tonight, and I can assure you, it will not be our last. Jems like this are a great asset to a tourist area like Lake George. It was a great value, a cozy, relaxing non rushed atmosphere, and positively top notch food! The prime rib was to die for, and the shrimp scampi was a huge hit with the kids. The early bird specials include dessert, and the bread pudding, and strawberry shortcake were fantastic. So so glad we stopped here on our last night in LG. We can't wait to visit again, and the Caldwell House will be one of our first stops when we do!

I've been coming to Lake George for about five years now and never been to Caldwell. I decided to try it out tonight and was extremely impressed! This restaurant is really great!! From the food, atmosphere, bartender and speaking with the owner I found my new favorite place!
