I wanted to share our experience at The Deerpath Inn this weekend. It was a quick ride to the north for us and we were greeted so warmly on arrival. We were upgraded to a suite where the most beautiful surprise was. The Inn is completely modernized but with the old English men's theme. Our room was so well furnished and spacious. We had dinner in the English room there is also a pub and bar, which are also ingenious... View all feedback.
After check-in, our room was updated, and it proved to be nice, quiet, and relaxing. The room was spotless, with even the door lock hardware gleaming. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-organized, and the minibar offered a great selection at reasonable prices. The afternoon tea service was delightful and charming; it was my first time experiencing this, and my husband made it special. The service was outstanding, and Rikki was particularly attentive! The food and tea were both delicious. We returned for dinner at 8:00 and were seated at the same table with our new friend Rikki as our server. This was one of the best meals we've had in years. Everything was top quality, and the portion sizes were generous, which pleasantly surprised me. When we returned to our room, we found that the turndown service had been completed, and my phone charging cable was neatly tied with a Deer Path Inn band! Breakfast, however, was a different story. The coffee was excellent, but we had to ask for sweeteners. Instead of grabbing a tray from one of the empty tables, the server went all the way back to the kitchen to fetch one. By the time he brought our coffee to the table, it had cooled down, though it was still delicious and frequently refilled. The orange juice was great, but breakfast itself was disappointing. The corned beef hash was primarily small pieces of fat, and I had to dig through it to find the vegetables underneath. The English muffin that was supposed to accompany the dish never arrived. The servers were hard to find, and when they finally saw what I had done with my meal, they said nothing. I asked for the English muffin, thinking I might have misunderstood the menu. They eventually brought it, but there was no butter or knife. When I inquired about these items, the server went back to the kitchen and took a while to bring them back. By the time I received a knife, the muffin was cold. I mentioned this oversight to the concierge, and they kindly removed the meal from our bill. I hope the breakfast servers can receive additional training to prevent these kinds of situations in the future. Despite the breakfast hiccup, I highly recommend The Deer Path Inn for a romantic getaway!
For our first course, we enjoyed a large popover—one of my favorites! We also ordered scallops on pea risotto as a starter, which offered a delightful and unique flavor in every bite. We decided to share two salads, both of which were fresh and delicious. Following Henry's recommendation, I tried the Dover sole and savored every bite. My friend ordered the lamb dumplings, which were beautifully presented and tasted excellent. As it was my birthday, Henry surprised us with three generous pieces of birthday cake accompanied by ice cream. What stood out to us most about the dinner was how seamlessly everything flowed, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was one of the most memorable culinary experiences I've ever had. Thank you, Deer Path Inn... I'll definitely be back!
I wanted to share our experience at The Deerpath Inn this weekend. It was just a short drive north, and we were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. We received a suite upgrade, which came as a delightful surprise. The Inn beautifully blends modern amenities with an old English gentleman's ambiance. Our room was wonderfully furnished and spacious. We enjoyed dinner in the English Room, and the pub and bar were equally charming; the food was both delicious and elegant. Matt, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. This morning's brunch was one of the best we've ever had. If you’re looking for a getaway or simply a lovely place for dinner or brunch, I highly recommend The Deerpath Inn.
I just know from my experience in The Bar that this is one of the best restaurants in Lake County when you look at the execution and presentation, mostly affordable prices and general mood. Huge props to Fehan, George at the bar and the rest of this great staff, all of which manage a robust amount of demanding customers with grace and class. You created a big room here and a great crew that lets us come back.
Perfect place for a getaway! We rode the complimentary bikes to the most beautiful beach ! Service was high class. Location in town makes it perfect for walking and shopping. The dining for dinner and breakfast was a delicious experience. For a special celebration I highly recommend this place!
