Delicious food! I highly recommend the filet mignon over fried rice. Excellent fried rice! Also, I am not usually into chicken nuggets but here they are extremely crunchy, juicy and the taste of the fried batter was addictive. Very casual basic atmosphere but do not be fooled! View all feedback.
What Shiying Yang doesn't like about Fam's Kitchen:
Don’t ever tried this place if you’re in a rush. We came here cause it’s near the auto center and we wanna enjoy a quick meal. It’s Monday noon and no one is eating or take out. We waited there half an hour for the food to come out. So we have to canceled our plan and change it to go. There is no View all feedback.
I've seen this on several IG site. The food is very very tasty. I tried Stone Bowl Soup that had 2 large beef ribs. Yummy
Fan of the Fam's! My favorite Asian spot to noms in Lake Forest. My go to order is the Fam Combo with filet mignon, substitute rice with garlic noodles. The dish comes with a nice mayo/jalapeno/cilantro dip for your meat, along with a generous portion of spring mix. The meat is always so SOFT and JUICY and has a great spice kick with the dip! Their salmon version is delicious as well, with crispy outside. Garlic noodles have fantastic flavor to compliment the protein. Stone Noodle Soup is perfect for colder months. Small restaurant, with about five 4 people seat tables and two 2 people seat tables, good for smaller parties and casual catch up hangout. Each time I went (for about a year) it was not crowded and/or empty, quiet space, and service is consistently ok.. need to wave to grab attention and order or get water refill, adequate in that they provide bare minimum and food comes out fast but skips smiles/warm greetings/welcomes with nonchalant or apathetic mood that's alright though, staffing changes, and most times I'm here for the delicious food and leave quickly, in and out. Utensils, napkins, chopsticks come together in a lil basket, water comes in styrofoam cup. Parking is a small row right out in front, but haven't had issues with grabbing a spot.
The garlic noodles were gross. Mushy, sticky and not fresh. There was no fresh garlic, it was some kind of garlic powder. So the base price is $16.50 for basic noodles with no meat and no vegetables. What! How does this make any sense? The only good part was the salmon. It was extra crispy and hot. I enjoyed it, but couldn't eat it often because it was Deep Fried and very greasy. 1 extra star for the salmon. The side lomato sauce was strange, but acceptable. I asked for not spicy and it was made not spicy, so that was OK. The interior looks like a standard sandwich shop. No decor, basic hard chairs, music trying to cover up the loud sounds of the kitchen freezers and whatever else is humming back there. Don't believe the other reviews! This was not the best garlic noodles I've had, this was literally the worst! Anyone who said this is the best has never tasted real home-cooked garlic noodles. A total waste of $33.Yelp, you let me down. The reviews are inaccurate here, because this is nowhere near a 4.4 star restaurant. This is a 2 star restaurant.
It was as delicious as always they have never let us down on quality and taste of the food the garlic noodles ? with steak are both my wife and my favorite add 2 fried eggs with mine and you are in flavor country
