I understand it was not within the 24 hour period (emergencies... read more My fiancee and I had a one night reservation we had to cancel due to an emergency family matter. I understand it was not within the 24 hour period (emergencies are not planned) but when we spoke to the manager about getting some sort of credit they were extremely dismissive and on a high horse. Over $600 handed over with not even a “we’re so sorry to hear that”. You may have been ranked in some travel leisure poll, but you are just north of downtown chicago with not only way better (legit) hotels but professional service as well, so don’t fool yourself. The Waldorf is even more accommodating. Would not recommend based on price compared to other much better establishments and service.

Don't miss these thoughtful framed articles, awards, vintage architectural sketches, tabloid clippings about celebrity hotel guests of the past, vintage bird prints, and more. I spent at least 30 minutes alone in the hallway reading dozens of news archives explaining how the Deer Path Inn began and transformed over time into what it is today – and then got to experience it in all its Clue Mansion vibe glory.
