We arrived late in the evening and had no reservation, but after the waitress checked with the kitchen we were sat down. We proceeded to enjoy a full meal with wine and great service till past 10pm. I have always recommended this place and will continue. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Grapevine Restaurant:
We used to visit annually, but stopped for a few years when the menu wasn't changing. Well, the menu has changed with the new owners. I felt more nickel and dimed this time around. Bread service was extra ($4) and swapping out wines on the already pricey flights yielded an unreasonable surcharge (from $23 to $29) and all four of us felt the food was too bland for our tastebuds. Me and my wife and 2 friends went for lunch and a tour of the Gray Monk winery.when we arrived we got immediately a parking spot and head up to admire the rows and rows of grapes down the hill.We got a spot at the grapevine restaurant and proceed to be seated on a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. We order a charcuterie table with salami, smoked duck salami, calabresse, some olives and various cheeses and risotto arancini stuffed with cheese and a dungeness crab and artichoke dip.We order a pinot flight of wine and they gave us 3 glasses with pinot gris, pinot auxerrois and pinot noir.the waiter came with a amuse bouche with duck that exalted the palate. After the starters we order the mains and I had beef skewers on a quinoa salad bed that was amazing. My wife had the green salad and our friends had the duck confit leg with spaetzli and a sweet cabbage simmered in wine and fettuccini with prawns and mussels. At the end the waiter came with 2 crème brulee for dessert as a gesture because it was our friends wedding anniversary. The food overall was amazing, the wine pairings worked great and the service was phenomenal. After the lunch we proceed to the free wine tasting room and from there we started the tour of the winery to finish the visit by getting some siegerrebe wine. This was a fantastic afternoon at this winery and I will go again any time when visiting Kelowna.
There where 4 of us ,ordered 2 appy,s and 3 different entrees, all plates were cleaned and all agreed the food and presentation were first class.service was excellent as was the view......certainly well worth the visit and will return
Great setting over Okanagan Lake. Good wines. Food may be a little pricy for quantity and quality. Generally, good service. Also has great winery to visit.
