Ken's -b-que - Lake City

BBQ in Lake City. Read a few reviews and this seemed to be on the same side with the others. I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich that came with frits and a drink. My friend ordered the special that was a New York stripe, baked potato, Cole Slav and a drink for $13 and change. My beef had a good smoke taste that wasn't exaggerated. The beef was cut thinly like a cold cut. And it was a bit cold that told me it was beef yesterday. The pommes were crispy and good. The tea was fresh and the service was simply enough. Sissy checked us twice and even offered drinks. It wasn't crowded when we arrived as they opened. It was sufficient for the price. I would go back, but I would try to compare other local BBQ places only.

My husband loves bbq. We live in Jacksonville, but this is his favorite place. Had his birthday dinner last Friday and everything was delicious! Ribs, pigs, fish, fries, onion rings, Koleslaw... all were fabulous and service is exceptional

The service was fast and accurate. The food was just as great. It didn't take long until the order was taken or sent to the table. I recommend this place if you want good house boiled bbq that are not over price and the portions are exactly right.

Drove ten hours with Kens on my mind. From Tennessee to visit grandparents in lake city. Dad loved kens as a kid and turned me on. He had a few ribs left over and abit of a bbq pulled pork sandwich and man was it good! Perfect smoke that was not over powering in any way and absolute perfect bite on the ribs! The sauce was amazing as was the garlic bread and slaw! Awesome food!

My daug daughter and her fiancee met a n d had supper here. We had the pork and rib dinner my daughter and I and Lucas h ad beef sandwich. Really great service and the food was excellent moist sliced pork and great smoked flavor on the ribs! Sauces could use some help but all in all a great place to eat. Baked beans were so good!
