Ucla Lake Arrowhead Lodge Dining Room

We were here the day after Thanksgiving and had plated service. Food, service, and ambiance were excellent! However, coming on New Year's Eve was a different story. It was a buffet and the food was overcooked and not as tasty. Coffee was cold. It was noisy and the ambiance was hectic. Guests came to dinner in ski wear and casual clothes. Our waiter, although friendly, was slow to remove dishes from the table. Totally different atmosphere! When we booked on the website, it did not mention that New Year's Eve was a buffet. We would not have booked a table if we knew.

We dined on a Monday night. The prix fixe options were beef or chicken; we chose the chicken. It was ok. That said, the overall experience felt and tasted like a rubber chicken wedding reception dinner. Soup, salad, entree, dessert, coffee or tea. Also, no wine or beer license. You can bring your own bottle of wine. We were not aware of that. We decided to eat at other restaurants during the rest of our stay in Lake Arrowhead.

I've dined here several times for both breakfast and dinner and I must say I really enjoyed myself. Beautiful and cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and very delicious food. I look forward to each visit and can't wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge, while on a work trip, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. This charming dining area impressed me with its exceptional food, warm hospitality, and impeccable cleanliness.The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each dish was prepared with skill and precision. Whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or have specific dietary requirements, this restaurant caters to all palates with its diverse and creative menu (shoutout to John, the Director of Food Beverages). The hospitality and accommodations provided by the staff were nothing short of outstanding. The staff members were attentive (shoutout to Kinnon), knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. They were happy to answer any questions, provide recommendations, and accommodated special requests with a gracious attitude. The level of service was certainly top-notch, making me feel like a valued guest throughout the week of my dining experiences. The dining area was immaculate, with tables meticulously set and the surroundings sparkling clean. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, or simply looking for a delightful meal, the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is sure to exceed your expectations. I highly recommend paying them a visit and seeing all they have to offer. The only thing I would add is that the creme brulee could use some work to get it just right (especially the sugar layer on top), and other than that the chocolate chip cookies were super gooey and delicious!
