Mistwood Golf Course - Lake Ann

I was initially hesitant to play a round at this course, but I finally tried it out just over a month ago. While the bunkers could still use some improvement, I didn’t see any signs of unhealthy greens; in fact, I thought they were in excellent condition. The course presents a good challenge, featuring a nice balance of narrow and open fairways, some tough (but not lost-ball) rough, and a good mix of long par 3s along with some extended holes. To top it off, I accidentally slept through my alarm, but the management was very accommodating when my playing partners requested to push our tee time back by nearly 30 minutes! The gentleman in the clubhouse was incredibly kind, and we all shared a good laugh when I finally arrived. I would definitely play here again.

This is the most underrated golf course in the Grand Traverse area. With a bit more attention to grounds maintenance, it has the potential to be exceptional.

This is just the first of many chips I hope to enjoy. It's the little things that make me want to come back. The atmosphere was fantastic!
