I have been here twice now, a year apart because of a cycling event, and both times the food was great with a friendly service in a super nice garden environment.
The Tuscan bruschetta with anchovies was a salty delight and coupled with the tris vegetable flan was exquisite! The fire roasted rooster was perfectly seasoned alongside amazing potatoes. Most importantly, the way my glass was prepared where she swirled the wine around the entire surface of the glass preparing the optimal tasting of my Tuscan Chianti.... I knew at that moment I can anticipate superior food. The artistic surrounding of the space, overlooking a beautiful large garden at the edge of the hilltop with an infinite view of the Tuscan country side made for a wonderful experience.
Absolutely magical place! Good food and wine in a real cozy hidden garden. Must try if you visit Lajatico or the neighborhood. And they are dog welcomed also. Yes,there is a butter candle on my pasta dish
The location and the ambiance are the best part of this place. There are some flaws or a menu with little choice (not recommended for vegetarians vegans, there is only one sandwich). The quality of the food is excellent and the prices average (about 16 18€ for sandwiches), too bad about the wait, there were only 3 tables and we waited 45 minutes for sandwiches. Asked for a sandwich without meat and was told that 's sad , I didn 't understand where is the problem if a person wants to eat only vegetables in their sandwich
