Intrigued by the positive but unfortunately dated reviews (many from The Fork and many from a long time ago), we were not intimidated by the most recent reviews... read more Intrigued by the positive but unfortunately dated reviews (many from The Fork and many from a long time ago), we were not intimidated by the most recent reviews and booked to try this pizzeria which, not being clearly visible and has little parking, we had not never seen before. Although the staff is not very welcoming but kind in their ways, for what we found in terms of quality of the food and cooking techniques and for the digestion problems (we had dinner at 8pm and now, at 10am, we still have heartburn), at the moment we cannot give a positive opinion and unfortunately we have to confirm the most recent opinions released by other users, probably something must have changed in the last period... Since I am never happy to issue such a negative opinion but, we must be objective with those who read the reviews, we will try to return later and see if we can change the rating and review but, at the moment I can only write the following... From a place which, according to the reviews years ago, also appeared to do cooking, currently only serves pizza and one would expect a quality product but, already from the appearance it was evident that there was a big cooking error and little pre-cooking leavening, that is, low crust and overcooked, a symptom of raw pizza. In addition to this problem, there are other errors such as the tomato puree which is acidic and lacking in flavor which, combined with buffalo mozzarella that was not drained, made the pizza a puddle of tasteless water. The other pizza was supposed to have grilled vegetables but, looking at the photo, it is clear that the vegetables have never been on a grill and were probably seared on a griddle or pan, resulting in the vegetables being semi-raw. As regards the shape, I can understand that to speed up the setting of the tables, placemats and paper napkins are used but, certainly not the canteen ones at dinner... I repeat that I never like to be so crude in evaluations and reviews but, at the moment I have no positive notes (kindness aside)... we will try to return, perhaps with a takeaway and see if our first visit was just unlucky or, confirm the most recent. P.s. responding to those who usually leave positive reviews because they left you a negative review should make you think and perhaps use it to improve yourself and not pretend to apologize and then get angry as I have read in some cases. It's advice to improve yourself in this too.
