Crispy shrimp tacos with mango Slav were divine. Also stuffed sharp and large portion. The frits were crispy outside and soft and hot inside. All right. Husband had the pizza from Pounder's pizza oven. It was also delicious. We're coming back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pounders:
Service is great, food is bad. Especially for the price it is not worth. Yesterday we ordered the pizza of the day that was a spicy volcanic pizza $16). It should have bacon on it, but that's what came out. Besides, my husband thought it was good. It was essentially a spicy pepperoni pizza. I have the Grahmburger? $18) which was pretty good. I enjoyed it. I miss the old Pounders menu, it was so much better View all feedback.
Pounders Restaurant has some potential for improvement in several crucial areas that affect the overall dining experience. First and foremost, the use of fresh ingredients should be a top priority for the restaurant. During my visit, it was evident that some of the dishes lacked the vibrant flavors and quality that fresh, locally sourced ingredients could provide. Incorporating these fresh elements into their menu would undoubtedly elevate the culinary experience. Furthermore, the issue of overcooking needs immediate attention. On multiple occasions, I've encountered dishes that were overcooked, resulting in a loss of texture and flavor. It's imperative that Pounders refines their cooking techniques to ensure that their dishes are perfectly cooked, preserving their natural juiciness and taste. Another notable concern is the service. During my visit, I found the service to be lacking in attentiveness. It took over 30 minutes to receive the check, which is far too long for a restaurant visit. Improving the efficiency and responsiveness of the waitstaff is essential for providing a better dining experience. The ambiance at Pounders is another aspect in need of improvement. The decor, with its generic Hawaii-themed elements, lacks character and creativity. It feels uninspired and tasteless, failing to create a unique atmosphere that could enhance the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Pounders Restaurant has room for improvement in various aspects, including the use of fresh ingredients, avoiding overcooking, enhancing service attentiveness, and revamping the ambiance to make it more appealing and unique. Addressing these issues will likely result in a more satisfying and memorable dining experience for customers.
Does not serve alcohol. Dry town mormom country. Closed Wednesday and Sundays for church apparently.
It has a beautiful, upscale ambience with very friendly down to earth service. As usual, we asked which dishes were most popular or recommended, and our waiter's suggestions did not disappoint. Our portions were large, so we had leftovers to take home and we really enjoyed our meal. If I am wanting a sitdown restaurant, I would definitely consider eating here again. Talking to our attentive waiter, who was an international student, really added to our experience, too. Mahalo!
