Guadalajara Grill Hawaii - LAIE

Whenever I travel, one of my primary considerations is the culinary opportunities Hawaii is not such a place. So I was pleasantly surprised, to find a new Mexican road side restaurant had recently opened up between Hauula and Laie, on the North Shore of Oahu a favourite vacation destination selected for the weather and laid back lifestyle. The Guadalajara Grill is a quaint roadside operation, who's facade belies it’s ability to produce some of the best Mexican cuisine I have tasted outside of it’s country’s namesake..and sometimes, even then. This two man staffed, humble eatery, boasts a covered dinning area that can seat thirty two. The fare is strictly authentic Mexican and the menu is impressively choice laden, featuring twenty plus items. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous. I had the Ceviche, and although I have enjoyed that dish from Tijuana to Huatulco, this unassuming little roadside cafe, produced this fresh fish dish to a taste and quality second to none. I have to highly recommend a visit to the Guadalajara Grill, before their prices are adjusted upward commensurate with the quality of their cuisine. nordin asher Vancouver, Canada

The best food I've had here in 14 days...and we've eaten at alot of places...worth the drive wherever you are on the island

We were visiting from Alabama and decided to sightsee and drive all the way around the island. We came up on this wonderful food truck on the North Shore. Loved the salsa and had the best chicken enchiladas that we’ve ever had. You will not be disappointed!!!

OK, just visited Guadalajara Grill for the 2nd time in 3 days. The food is really, really good, even without the Mexican beer, so changing my rating to 5 stars. If you 're on the north shore, stop by! We live in Baja Cal, Mexico, so when I saw a sign advertising authentic Mexican food on Oahu, I was skeptical. But, we were pleasantly surprised! I had shredded beef and chicken tacos; both were STUFFED with meat and delicious! Others in our group had a fajitas burrito, carnitas tacos, and fish tacos. My wife said the fish tacos could compete with Baja fish tacos any day. It 's a food truck with a canopy to keep the rain off, very quaint and very clean. Would have given them 5 stars if they had beer; need a Mexican beer with tacos!

The best on the island!!! This place deserves 10 stars My husband and I discovered this little road side restaurant a few weeks ago and we come here two or three times a week. The food is fresh and authentic. The carnitas, fish tacos, shrimp, burritos and enchiladas are all fantastic. We always get a little bit of fresh pico de gallo with our meals and an extra side of guacamole. (This is even better than the Whole Foods Guacamole . The portions are good size and Gio and Javier are super friendly and helpful. If you're on Oahu and craving real Mexican food THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Muy delicioso!!!! Gracias Guadalahara Grill!!! : : :
