Das Ambi... read more Wir haben als Hotelgäste des Weißen Ross (Tipp: Zimmer mit Balkon buchen!), das im selben Haus ist, dort im Biergarten gut typisch griechisch gegessen. Das Ambiente ist eher urig - bepflanzte Öldosen... Ganz, wie man es aus Griechenland kennt.

Das Parthenon liegt direkt am Lahntal Rad- und Wanderweg. Die Lage ist also schon mal hervorragend, mit direktem Blick auf die Lahn. Auch der Biergarten ist sch... read more Das Parthenon liegt direkt am Lahntal Rad- und Wanderweg. Die Lage ist also schon mal hervorragend, mit direktem Blick auf die Lahn. Auch der Biergarten ist schnuckelig. Die Qualität der Speisen ist okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Für ein kühles Getränk in nettem Ambiente würde ich bei gutem Wetter dennoch wieder hier einkehren. Essen würde ich aber wohl eher woanders.

Allerdings saßen wir dort unten dann auch erst einmal 15 Minuten, bevor die Bedienung mit der Frage kam, ob schon jemand mit der Karte bei uns gewesen sei - obwohl nur 20% der Tische belegt waren. Dann holte der Kellner erst einmal die Karte. Leider hatte das Pils kaum Kohlensäure und schmeckte schal. Der Weißwein (kein Retsina) war nichtssagend. Wir haben dann darauf verzichtet, zum Abendessen zu bleiben. Die Speisekarte enthält ausschließlich griechisches Essen. Die Stimmung auf der Terasse unter den Gästen war gut.

Upholstery make the stay relatively comfortable. Service: A young female service force without uniform brings the typical large Greek card without any special features. The price level is not exaggerated and without “sight supplement”. When the card is closed, it is back and picks up the order. The beer brings it quickly, little later the side salad. Your part is satisfactory. A young man is then responsible for the bill, also appropriately fast and friendly. Food and drink: There are only Greek wines for around 4 €. The yeast wheat from the bottle is a Paulaner in bright for 3,20 €. I fluctuate between lamb and Gyros baked with Metaxasoße (11.50 € , the latter is my order. The supplemental salad comes in, consists almost entirely of herb salad, doubling only through an olive and a peperoni. I still grump about the origin, the taste is standard. Some time later, an iron pan is served on a plate. With a lot of cheese baked pangyros, and the dish cannot score with immaculate meat quality, too many tendon and fat parts disturb the pleasure. Röstaromen absent and the sauce does not appear homogeneous, although tastefully ok. The rice is available on a plate extra, but it is very dry despite tomato base. 2.5 stars, evaluated on 2nd Conclusion: A Greek standard card without bright lights, no culinary point for me. As a stop on the bike tour conceivable or on lukewarm summer evenings for the group for celebration as in Greece, without overpriced prices.
