Yesterday around 5 pm, we ate the stir-fry there for 7 euros. I can eat pretty much anything and am known for not being picky. But this was simply awful. I even asked for an extra small portion because the food was just slopped onto the plate, but I was so hungry that I choked it down. I went back later and got a slice of pizza. I told the vendor that the stir-fry was so bad it was inedible. He said he was sorry and would pass it on... but nothing happened. They just kept selling it. The pizza wasn't cooked through, and I honestly wonder how much worse food in Germany has to get before something changes. Why didn't it taste good? The noodles were just mush, and everything tasted sour. There were hardly any vegetables or meat, and they were overcooked. There was plenty of oil. It even had a fishy aftertaste. But if that was supposed to be an imitation of paella, then congratulations! Seriously, people... you guys rake in so much money. Surely what you're churning out must be edible. And if someone politely and without any demands points out that it's no longer edible, then at least try it yourself.
I was at the Globus Restaurant and made myself a coffee crème with plenty of milk at the self-service station. An employee at the cash register repeatedly said it didn 't look like coffee crème with milk, but rather a latte or macchiato. I calmly explained several times that it was simply coffee crème with milk and mentioned that another employee was there when I made it. Nevertheless, she persisted. Finally, I said, It 's not like I 'm lying or trying to steal a macchiato. She suddenly became loud and aggressive, yelling, I didn 't say that! I won 't let anyone accuse me of anything. An insinuation is a crime! One more word, and I 'll call the store detective! I can check the cameras! I was stunned by these threats and the way she spoke to me. I hadn 't done anything wrong, but I was yelled at, threatened, and humiliated. This made me feel very uncomfortable and intimidated. Unfortunately, this isn 't the first time I 've noticed this employee behaving rudely. But what happened today was truly inhumane and completely disrespectful. I hope store management takes this incident seriously, investigates the behavior of the employee in question, and ensures that such behavior doesn 't occur again in the future.
The food used to be outstanding. This year, it's just average, at best. After 3 p.m., the food selection is extremely limited. Even what's advertised is often unavailable. Due to a lack of alternatives, I bought currywurst with fries. The fries and currywurst (almost cold) aren't even average, and the curry sauce isn't tasty at all. The portion is manageable, okay, and the quality isn't a problem. I didn't eat half of it. Better at almost every snack bar. The prices aren't reasonable either. Bratwurst 3.50, currywurst 4.50! If I remember correctly, about two years ago it cost a euro. Paying an extra euro for that horrible sauce!? Wasted money. Never again in the evening/afternoon! The lunch selection, however, looks better. My recommendation: avoid restaurants after 3 p.m., or even better, 2:45 p.m.
Oh dear, that was a complete culinary disaster. Completely overcooked chicken (it tastes intensely like chicken) meets sticky mashed potatoes and gravy mush. Actually, there were a lot of retirees eating here, and none of the dishes looked appetizing. Unfortunately, the taste was as bad as the appearance. Even the worst cafeteria could do better. I'll never eat here again. The staff behind the counter were bored/unenthusiastic, but very friendly at the checkout.
Yes, some of the seats are broken, and yes, the tables are sometimes dirty. But they're also struggling with staffing shortages here. However, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the quantity was absolutely sufficient. We ate here three days in a row. By the way, younger children eat free.
