We had a great time at the River Crab on 4th of July. The weather was spectacular so we decided to sit outside. It was perfect - the yellow umbrellas and the blue sky and water made a serene setting. In sum, I was disappointed with this restaurant. I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The place has potential, but the entrees were absolutely terrible. I ordered the potato-encrusted whitefish, but the potatoes were undercooked and gross. My wife's beef medallions were overcooked. The only good things were the bread and the wine. We came here for the lobster mac n cheese and it was absolutely delightful and better than expected (we had very high expectations).

What a treat! We had a 6pm dinner reservation and started with drinks and appetizersOur server, Aaron, has to be one of the best on Maui.
Service was slow. Waitress got order wrong, resulting in one entree being served 10 minutes after the others. Great location.
