Pizza Connection Maui - Lahaina

Delicious pizza, but I couldn't order in advance. I just found a way to kill time while waiting for the three cakes. I'm on vacation anyway.

Amazing pizzas! If you are like me and taste counts over quantity, then put this little pizza stop on your Maui bucket list. We're just a few more days on the island, but will be back before we try the Flying Hawaiian.

Very good handmade pizza. Cooked in a mobile wood stove. Quality toppings and a soft, chewing crust. We're here early and had a good time to set them up.

If you are in the Kaanapali area of Maui and in the mood for pizza, this place is a must. These are the experiences that make Maui, Maui. I love pizza baked in a wood stove, and this store was not disappointed. You could call that a road transporter, but that's not even that. It's a wheel-mounted pizza oven, with all the other support work outside. Place your order and sit and chill for a few minutes while you build and bake the cakes. The thin crust was crunchy and slightly carburized on the outside and warm and thin inside. Right. Great pizza, cool environment, very maui.

At the time of this review there were only 20 reviews and with a 4.7 out of five stars rating. On one hand you could say 20 reviews might be friends and family but if they are regular people then 4.7 out of five is really good. Although we had never seen this place before, we decided to try it out. The funny thing was it was late at night and we tried to find it visually, but could see no store signs. We then plugged the address into the GPS and watched as the distance clicked lower and lower, while looking for the signs. As the countdown got down to zero, we realized it was a small portable trailer with a stone looking oven sitting on the back and a group of guys in the front making pizza out in the open. I have to admit I was a little sceptical at first but we decided to order the Hawaiian pizza and a cheese pizza for our daughter. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It had a very good sauce with a lot of flavour and the toppings were flavorful. Even the cheese pizza had a very nice flavour to it. If I could complain about anything it would be that the toppings were a little sparse. I imagine you could request additional toppings but again this was our first try at this place. The pictures shown online show more toppings than we had on our pizza. However, because they made thin crust pizzas, it was a well balanced amount of toppings to the crust. As such I have to give it five stars and I highly recommend people stop by this little stand and get pizzas. It does take about 20 minutes to bake as they make it fresh right in front of you.
