The gentleman that was working was very friendly and patient. We are not locals and I'm a fat kid so there were tons of questions and minds changed. However, he was awesome. We will definitely come back here on our next vacation. More pictures and reviews coming from me as soon as we try the product. Made to order btw CASH ONLY FYI!!! View all feedback.
What Tina S doesn't like about Manuela Malasada:
You have to order minimum 3 malasadas starting price $9. Then, every malasada you want filled is $2 each, aka $5 per each filled malasada. The malasadas were dense and doughy. Nothing about it gave me world famous vibes. Their marketing strategies definitely mislead me.Service was excellent though. I ordered the Bavarian cream filled but had the opportunity to try the haupia filling. To me, the haupia is superior. Cas... View all feedback.
I bought the coconuts malasada today, it was terrible, no coconut cream filling and no taste, just like eating bread. The Zippy malasada is way better.

Best malasadas in town, and the guy running the truck was super cool! The Maui way!! Mahalo my friend and thank you!!
A great spot to try malasadas!! J.R. is very friendly and helpful, he was patient with every person who was ordering and made sure you enjoyed your order! The flavors were ON POINT!! Just enough dough and crunch!! The added flavors were tantalizing made each bite incredible!! I would come back for more!!!
Delicious malasadas. Slightly crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle a little different from traditional malasada you'd find elsewhere. Made to order. Eating it while hot and freshly made is highly recommended. Over time, I've tried many flavors and they are all pretty good.Cash only. Be patient, they are currently short staffed so the wait time can vary. I waited for 45 minutes, people who came later than me waited for 10. So again, it varies since it is made fresh and only so much in each batch. On this day, the gas station wasn't opened before Manuela, so don't be surprised if you see a chain link with cones at the entrance/exit to stay closed until Manuela opens at 8am. The parking is very limited; if the stalls along the highway side are full, there are a few other stalls on the ocean side of the gas pumps.Pictured from top to bottom: Haupia, 2 Chocolates, Lilikoi, Guava, and Pistachio.
