Japengo - Lahaina

This restaurant is impressively clean, featuring mainly outdoor seating alongside some indoor options, all of which boast stunning views of the Hyatt Resort and the sea. We dined here on our first night of honeymoon, having made reservations in advance, and were delighted to be seated on the terrace with a fantastic view! To start, we mistakenly ordered the wrong soup, but it turned out to be the best soup we’ve ever tasted! The sushi was exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend enjoying dinner here if you’re craving sushi!

We had an amazing splurge-worthy meal that was incredibly comfortable and conveniently located in Kaanapali! We were recommended the seafood pancakes, and they definitely lived up to the hype. For the rest of our meal, we ordered several sushi rolls, and the quality was top-notch; each roll was HUGE. We ordered four rolls and couldn't finish them, which is impressive since we usually eat three and were really hungry. The service was excellent—staff made jokes and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere while still respecting our privacy.

This restaurant offers a sophisticated and timeless atmosphere. There's something to please every palate, and the view is absolutely stunning. I recommend arriving early to enjoy the sunset from the terrace. We began our meal with sushi and sashimi, both of which were incredibly fresh and expertly made. For dinner, I had the seafood red curry, which was simply delightful. My wife ordered the shrimp and was equally pleased with her dish. The side hash was fantastic as well. We also tried the crème brûlée, which was anything but ordinary. You really have to experience it for yourself!

That was really an unforgettable experience for my family. Jeff was the best server we ever had. The sushi was amazing and the atmosphere and view speaks for itself. I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes an incredible experience especially at sunset.

I strongly recommend having a dinner at Japengo. Here, the waiters make you feel at home with their humor. Not only this, but they bring out fabulous food for you to eat and impeccable views to compliment it. Every food here is exceptional. This restaurant gives you a large and good scope of what Asian food is like.
