I wish I could rate Fond with 6 stars! We dined with 6 others on Sunday for the chef’s counter experience and were warmly greeted by Eliza, then chef, who invited the diners to ask any questions about the preparation and ingredients for the dinner. Chefs table at Fond was the highlight of our trip. Chef Jojo and his team were so welcoming, it felt like dinner with family. It was an amazing experience to watch someone so passionate about what they're serving, plate everything in front of you.The food was some of the best we have ever had, all paired with great wine.We will be making this a staple of future trips
We went for a Chef's Counter experience and had a lovely time. There were 11 of us seated at the counter and the chef came out for each course to both prepare the dishes and explain the concept of the dish as well as the source of the ingredients. We started with an amuse bouche followed by three courses, an entree, and a dessert. They had a great wine pairing option and toward the end the chef socialized with everyone. It was a cozy and delicious experience. Was a bit of a drive since we were staying in Wailea, but well worth it!
Incredible food! Creative dishes, balanced flavors, overall amazing. Truly a must visit in Maui. The Korean chicken is fabulous tangy, sweet and spicy on a bed of amazing puréed potato salad; the lettuce wraps melt in your mouth and the poke nachos are the best we’ve had on the island. The cheesecake is light and fluffy and rivals anything we’ve had in NYC or LA or Portland! We were surprised to see such an extensive and well curated wine menu as well. Had a fabulous Montepulciano for a great price. You’d never know you are in a mini mall hip interior and great service.
Fond is terrific! We worked with Jojo and his team to host our wedding welcome party there. They designed a whole menu and cocktail options for us. Everything was great! All our guests loved the food. The staff was very warm and attentive. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Wonderful little spot. Nondescript strip mall location but great vibes inside. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and helpful. The bartender was very accommodating too. The food was amazing. Had pork, fish, and steak dishes all were perfect. Reasonable pricing. Will definitely be back when on Maui again!
