6/2023: Food was great, but the service was awesome. The service made the experience wonderful. Atmosphere was perfect for an island. The kid’s meals were enjoyed by the kids (big plus). The wrap and the fish tacos were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Great place to eat. View all feedback.
Captain Jack's Island Grill is located on Maui's vibrant Front Street in Laihaina. We had a short 20 wait and window shopped in the adjacent outdoor mall...
Best bar in Lahaina! The food was perfect, we went almost every day on my girls trip to Maui. The vibe, customer service and food was excellent! The fish and chips at this restaurant was my favorite. Had it at another place, Captain Jack’s was better. The staff made you feel comfortable and created a lively atmosphere. Ryan Travis were awesome. There’s something about a bar with stickers that makes it cooler than others…in my opinion

Times visited: 1 I kept seeing this place down on the streets so my dad and I finally decided to visit. It didn 't disappoint! We got a quesadilla appetizer, I got the fish and chips, and my dad got the sink me pork burrito. The quesadilla appetizer was really really good. My dad said he liked it more than he liked his meal! Each bite had just a perfect blend of fresh ingredients, spices, and juicy meat. The sour cream and fresh salsa elevated it as well. It was almost TOO juicy for me, you 'd take a bite and the watery juice from everything would spill out all over my hand. But it was very delicious. Do recommend! Of the Sink me [pork] burrito my dad said that it was really good but almost had too much meat. I would have preferred less meat and more rice. I 'd rate it about a 4/5 The fish and chips plate was AMAZING. I come from a place where fresh fish isn 't really an attainable thing so my standards might be skewed, but I dare say this was the best fish I 've ever had. The batter was thin, crunchy, and had just the right flavor. The fish was so tender it practically melted in my mouth... It was perfection. The house tartar sauce was beyond incredible and did elevate the dish. The steak cut fries were good and serviceable, but I was expecting a bit more from the Cole slaw... My palate is a bit more refined from living in the south for a few years, so maybe keep that in mind. Overall I loved the fish and chips plate and do recommend it! The only other note I have is I 'm a bit disappointed that the pirate theming stops with a few decorations and menu graphics... Would have been cool to maybe have some more items on the walls, maybe hear a sea shanty on the loud speaker or something other than trap remixes of popular songs. A little bit of a nitpick but it 's there. Overall if you 're in Lahaina, this is a great place to eat with really friendly and quick to serve staff, not to mention the price seemed to be pretty good for everything we got. Thanks!
Cool place overall, atmosphere was spectacular and service was fantastic. Went with some local friends, had a few drink and appetizers and was not rushed what so ever. All the food was great minus the Mac salad, was not one of my favorites at all. We had the ceviche, fried calamari, coconut shrimp and BBQ plate lunch which was well worth the money. Our server (cannot remember his name) was very patient and attentive to our needs and making us happy without being overbearing what so ever. The second story balcony was nice for people watching and just soaking in the atmosphere. Would recommend this place Fer sher
