This place is a Laguna staple. A great place to grab something to go, or if you can find a spot to dine in. The dining area is quite small and unlikely to find room for a group, but if you're early enough, you can. The coffee is great, their burrito is really good. Great baked goods or smoothies. It's very busy, especially during the summer, but they are great at getting you your food within a reasonable amount of ti... View all feedback.
What Linda Michelsen doesn't like about Orange Inn:
With all the good reviews I was looking forward to breakfast. However, the coffee was extremely weak and the croissant was dry and tasteless. It might be good for Mexican food but what I had was not good. Couldn’t even eat the breakfast when got back and threw out. View all feedback.
The food was delicious, but it was quite expensive. The small indoor dining area in the corner was cozy. However, parking was limited. It’s lovely to take a stroll along the beach and utilize the access stairs on Cleo Street.
Responding to Greg's review below: Instead of discussing your concerns directly with your friend, the owner — who you know personally — you decided to publicly criticize his business on social media? It's worth noting that you have nine reviews, seven of which are negative. It's important to recognize that no one wants to work in the food service industry these days. It's not just about the wages; it's how employees are often treated by customers. I visit this restaurant several times a week and have witnessed some truly shocking treatment of the staff. On top of that, they are severely understaffed and are doing their best to keep things running smoothly. They face extreme temperatures, demanding customers, and often have to deal with unnecessary rudeness. Perhaps we should all show some gratitude that this business is still open when so many others have had to close down, and recognize the hard work of those employees who show up each day. When they finally get a moment to breathe, they're busy preparing for the next influx of customers. I eat out nearly every day, and the challenges are real everywhere.
She certainly didn't come across as someone you'd want interacting with customers. When my breakfast arrived, it was almost thrown onto the countertop next to me with a curt "here" before she turned and hurried away. It felt more like she was feeding an animal than serving a customer. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she treated a pet with more care. This only reinforced my impression of her lack of personality, and left me feeling like I should just take my business to the Penguin down the street instead. Just saying.
Staff was nice and accommodating. The croissants were so good!!
Went in for a good omelet breakfast with some good coffee. It was busy, but the crew kept the line moving. After ordering, we got a nice table outside. The meal came quickly and was very good and filling. I had the veggie omelet and thought the veggies were fresh and delicious. The egg was a bit bland, but a little pepper was all it needed. The coffee was good, but the Blueberry muffins are amazingly good. Definitely a place to visit when in Laguna Beach.
