On our first nite in Lagos , we were doing the rounds of the old town trying to decide on somewhere to dine. Getting frustrated we were going down what felt like a side street between 2 of the more commercial streets. We stopped outside the Vagabundo , looked at the menu whch had what we wanted . we could hear a large crowd towards the back of teh dining area, allappeared to be local and enjoying themselves, so we decided to go for it.The restaurant may lack a little in refined looks of some of its neighbours on the busier streets, but the food was top class .We had fresh fish on both of our visits , yes we went again later in the week .I had the Prawns , Mixed Fish Grill , my wife went for the Seabass . All were outstanding . A real family affair as it seems only family were serving and cooking. For what the service may lack in fineese , it makes up in honesty and goodwill .A gem of a find .

We found this gem of a restaurant last year but it was closed so we didn’t think about going back. This year we decided to visit again and ended up visiting about 6 lunchtimes over our 15 day stay and boy was it consistently good!! Fish was amazing could not fault it at all perfectly cooked. One day we shared a turbot and oh my we were amazed how well it had been cooked x you have to eat what they catch that day but we’re not fussy so it suited us. We’re back again in September and this will be our first port of call! The lady gave us a lovely bottle of wine on our last day to take home. Can not wait to return Julie and Rob Walsall UK PS remember the corks under the wobbly table!!

Fresh fish and percebes! Must say the cataplana and the octopus rice are a must. Cozy simple place with a good welcoming that gives an feeing of comfort and home! Good wine selection! Definitely a comeback!
