Sol Nascente - Lagos

Wonderful little cafe restaurant in the best location right next to the lighthouse with lovely views. Always a friendly welcome from the staff. Don’t know why there are other negative reviews, not our experience and we visited almost daily for 2 weeks.

Don't be fooled by other reviews and by initial impressions. This looks like it will be a tourist trap since it's pretty much the only option for food along the trail by the lighthouse but the food is awesome! I had the garlic shrimp, and it was best shrimp I've had. Also don't be thrown off by the staff. Initially, my friend and I thought they were ignoring us and we were confused about how to order, get seated, etc. We wanted to leave but since it was busy, we gave it a minute for a server to help us. And, we are so glad we did. Again, the food was awesome, and our server was great! He was so friendly and funny, and we ended up taking pictures with him! Overall a great experience!! I love

We stopped for lunch here on an overcast windy day. Service was really pleasant and lunch was enjoyed by all, including the fab milkshakes, smoothies and a cheeky pina colada for me! Worth a lunch stop if you are up visiting the rocks/lighthouse

Warm personal and good intention. only caffe in ponta da piedade. they can have good meal times there, but we only had a few coffees that were not bad and cheap because of his situation.
