This restaurant is near the Marina on the Old Town side. Six of us ate here late one evening and all food was freshly cooked and the service was fantastic, as was the food. If you want good filling food at a reasonable price this is the place for you. It’s also attached to a hotel which I cannot comment on. I could write teams about how good the food is... just go and see for yourself! View all feedback.
What Rachaelbrowne doesn't like about Snack Solar:
We visited one evening very friendly waiter foor wasn't bad service was fast. But when it came to paying the bill we got a shock. I've never been riped off in Portugal until that evening we asked for a bottle of chamine tinto which is 6e in the super market so we didn't expect to pay much more than 14 or 15e in the restuarant. Fair enough there's a big mark up on wine but we were charged 24e for the bottle and others... View all feedback.
The food was absolutely delicious! I recommend eating here. Jan was a wonderful server who made sure we had the best of care

We stumbled upon the Snack Bar Solar on our first night in Lagos. Little did we know how great the decision to eat here had been. The staff are welcoming, funny, accommodating and kept the children busy with brain puzzles while we waited for food. The Portuguese, Fish and Special dishes have all been fantastic. I am generally not a fish eater myself but I tried Sea Bass and Golden Bream which were very tasty and well presented. My wife loves Paella and said it is also excellent here. If you like cocktails, try the Mojitos and Pina Coladas. We drank many. We ate here 5 times during our 2 week stay in Lagos and would absolutely go back. Cannot recommend enough to all. Prices were all very sensible.
Visited this restaurant last night for the first time. Will certainly be going back. 3 of us had fish and 1 had steak. We all really enjoyed our food and the service was excellent too.

Fair enough there's a big mark up on wine but we were charged 24e for the bottle and others with me 20e for a bottle of white wine. We questioned the bill we couldn't believe what we were charged and leaving the waiter handed me a bottle on the house so I knew well we had been riped off and they knew we were on to them. We won't be going back.
