Don Antonio runs an excellent family restaurant with the freshest local foods and wines with superb presentation and cooked with pride and passion by his family... read more Don Antonio runs an excellent family restaurant with the freshest local foods and wines with superb presentation and cooked with pride and passion by his family team. We got a recommendation to go there and the first time we had his only table on a very windy street. He was so apologetic and gave us great service. We returned twice more. All three times we were welcomed warmly and had superb Monkfish, Sole, Steaks, Prawns and Sardines. They really know how to cook their food. He provides a simple array of starters whatever is freshly made such as anchovies, olives in garlic, sweet carrot, fresh bread and a delicious home style cod in a roësti potato. Tables have oil vinegar but no salt and pepper, which is refreshing to do without. It is well supported by the locals of all ages. Antonio has a way with people and makes you feel at home. Superb atmosphere with simple decor. Booking advised but he’ll do his best to fit you in. Maybe a quick aperitif up the street at Copophina? Wonderful experience of Lagos and Portugal.
