But Casa Mae is very well prepared, they have the knowledge of celiac disease and are happy to make your meal. They have a separate area for gluten-free food and a separate grill. All in all, a very good place to sit beautiful area, delicious food and also super nice staff.

On a number of occasions during our week long stay, the service veered from relaxed to downright rude. The sommelier managed to insult and patronise us; another server made inappropriate comments and a even the most basic requests seemed a bit like too much effort for staff (despite the fact that the restaurant was far from full capacity and had zero atmosphere. Half the time staff forgot items that we'd ordered for breakfast... And when they did remember what we'd ordered, it was bland and fairly tasteless for e.g avocado toast was served with zero seasoning or effort at presentation. I completely get that the vibe they were going for is good food, prepared simply, but there is a difference between letting the quality of the raw ingredients shine and just not putting any effort or passion into the food. Not even salt, pepper or butter? Bizarre. There was also only one vegetarian main on the dinner menu. Overall, far from 5 star quality and seriously overhyped.

The attention to detail, focus on small and sustainable in their food, products, and little touches in the room were all wonderful. On top of this each staff member was warm professional and in a sincere way helped with any request. We ate at the restaurant twice in our short stay and everything was beautiful including an amazing natural wine list. They are clearly passionate about their farm to fork ethos and environmental footprint. We will 100% be back thank you for such a lovely staff, Peter and Allie
