Sal Tal - Lagoa

As it was Sunday, we were having trouble finding a place to have dinner in our last night stay in Carvoeiro. Then we found this little gem that was actually not very far on walking distance from our hotel. We came in early and got attended superbly by Ruben who made sure to make us feel home right away. Every whim of ours got gracefully fulfilled. The food was delicious and we ordered 3 dishes for 2 persons. The shrimps risoto, lamb shops and ribeye. We also had a nice tomato soup but the queen of the night was reserved for the end, a formidable desert that was highly recommended by Ruben and it was so good that I completely forgot the name! I simply got lost by the tastes of it and I'm not even remotely a deserts kind of guy. All in all, if you are in Carvoeiro, don't miss this one!

Wow, what a wonderful restaurant! My husband and I are staying at the Tivoli hotel a short walk away, and came to Sal Tal for dinner based on the great reviews. In our three weeks travelling in the Algarve, this was the most memorable on all fronts, from the great food to the service. We had the risotto with wild mushrooms and the octopus with sweet potato puree and sauteed greens, and the apple crumble for dessert with a superb espresso all fantastic. The wine list is outstanding, including by the glass, and the music wonderful fado gave just the right touch. In brief, this is fantastic.

Lovely restaurant, great food, great service!! Friendly and helpful staff, menu offers great choice of dishes. Highly recommend.

Fuimos creyendo que había arroces, pulpo y demás a mediodía, pero esos platos solo son por la noche. No obstante, nos atendieron genial, la hamburguesa estaba riquísima y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Muchas gracias!!
