Luz de Luna Bistro - Lago Puelo

Very slow service, if you were in a hurry or you´ve a long drive, do not stop here.1 hour and 50 minutes for just one dish each for two people AND the restaurant was not full, two other tables of two and one four people.Probably also the kitchen is slow, but talking about what I saw, the [also insolent ] waitress paid more attention chatting and kissing several people entered for an ice cream instead people at restaurant, After we sat she has put seven minutes to come to the table, actually I was about to get up and maybe I should have. BTW seven minutes spent talking to a person behind the counter who later has gone away, surely he was not a customer.What else have I to say? Ordinary meal, nothing unforgetable.

We stopped by here to buy ice cream and wanted to buy food to go, we were told they didn't do that you had to eat here. They said they food was too good. I wasn't impressed though. the service was ok for Argentina, but every-time you walk in they look as if you were about to hold them up or just cussed their grand mother. Its very odd and I didn't get that type of service anywhere else in the area!

This place is pretty simple but the food and service are just right. We actually ate here two nights (the second night I had the trout which was ample and very good) but is was our meal on the first night that was the stuff of legends. It was merely a leg of lamb on top of some papas fritas but the lamb itself had been slow-cooked for several hours with a combination of rosemary, other spices and clearly a lot of love. This was easily the best lamb I ever had. You could practically will the meat off the bone, requiring little to no physical effort.The staff were a bunch of sweethearts. They all seemed happy to be there and gave an inspired performance. I even had the honor of shaking hands with the chef who humbly described the culinary and enlightened journey of my leg of lamb.And, if you still have some available real estate in your belly after that victorious viking conquest after-battle meal, you have a galaxy of fresh ice cream to explore.Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

In Luz De Luna Bistro you may eat a individual pizza,a hamburger or a steak with salad at midday, but if you want to eat trout, or a 4 hours cookt lamm, or excellent pasta you may go at night, In the evening you may drink a chocolate with waffles or eat a great sandwich and all day around you have a big choice of wonderfull eisecrems by Jauja

When we asked Horacio at The Buena Vista Social Club in El Bolson about a special place to go for my birthday, he responded, "No question.There is only one place I would suggest: Luz de Luna. We were definitely not disappointed. We shared a delicious salad, delicious ravioli, and a wonderful chocolate dessert. The ambience was lovely, peaceful. The menu has a Spanish joke section, which we found quite entertaining.We will definitely return when we go back to El Bolson!
