Shanghai Resort - LaFollette

I would not recommend anyone to visit Shanghai Resort. The owner, an elderly man, was extremely rude. After waiting for hours for our food, we decided to sit at an open table since we were already there. The owner immediately told us we were not welcome and when a kind man from nearby questioned why we could not sit there, the owner became angry and began insulting him, calling him derogatory names. When my husband, child, and I asked why the man was being kicked out, the owner started insulting us as well. My teenage son stood up to defend me and the owner made a shocking comment about him. I was so upset and cried, asking why he would say something so cruel. Instead of apologizing, he kicked us all out, saying that we, as "white trash", were not welcome there, implying that people with tattoos are considered as such. This man clearly has no concept of how to treat others and I can only hope that he and his family are never treated in the same disrespectful manner.

This was the best dining experience I've had in years. The onion rings were perfectly fried, seasoned to perfection, and delivered promptly after ordering. Joclyn, with her stunning teal hair, was attentive, helpful, and provided a fantastic culinary experience. I've been to restaurants that cost four times as much as this place and had half the customer service. Definitely recommend dining here and enjoying!

I just wanted to take a moment to give credit where credit is due. I was part of a large group that visited Shanghai Marina restaurant on Saturday night during Memorial Day weekend. The restaurant was busy, but the staff handled it with ease and made sure everyone was taken care of with a smile. The food and drinks were excellent, and all 20 of us left happy. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all. Thank you to the hardworking and friendly staff!
