Sabores Del Sur - Lafayette

I just tried Sabores Del Sur today for the first time and the food was delicious. I ordered Chilean Steak Empanada and a Lomito Sandwich. I could taste the high and fresh ingredients in both dishes. I was impressed with how great the food was. I ate my lunch within minutes and didn't have any leftovers.I unfortunately feel like I can't give 5 stars because the alfajores I ordered did not make it. The owner offered to drive them over when I called to ask what happened, but i declined as it was a small item and it's the lunch rush right now. I ordered through GrubHub and wouldn't recommend doing so. My food came late and the driver didn't check that he had all my items. I know mistakes happen and not sure if the missing item is on the restaurant or the 3rd party delivery service, but that did impact my overall experience and wanted to share. I hope to stop by in person sometime to try the alfajores that seem very popular.

The owner laughingly shoes customers away stating that they “blanked” out on the online orders promising refund that never happened then customer has to battle with credit card company to get refunded maybe

The pollo A la brasa is perfect and the yucca is Chrissy and delish. The bakery is amazing! So many options it's hard to choose. The green sauce is a bit different than I'm used to however good. The service is fast and friendly. I used to have to order pollo a la brasa at work in manassas to bring home for dinner. So I'm so happy to have a local place when I don't want to cook it myself.

The empanadas here are the very best. Although they had to relocate to Lafayette this restaurant is still one of my favorites. Still very reasonably priced I highly recommend their delicious food.

For 10 years I had been consuming this alfajores cookies. Since I first discovered them in wholeFoods oakland. I promoted them and loved them. Then I made an order and wasn’t able to pick it up at the time I had place 1 pm. I call several times no answer. I wanted to see if they could just leave my order outside and no answer. I got there at 2:05 and everything was closed. Didn’t even get a call or anything from themI send them an email and receive no answer then finally I went back and they told me that I had compete lost my order with no chance or order or refund. I try speaking to the owner and she was really rude. I didn’t even want the whole order I had place I just wanted them cookies. I had order a whole order of large alfajores cookies and two empanadas. She said she wasn’t going to loose money. I just don’t understand why she would not answer her phone. It could all have been resolve with a simple phone call.
