Was Chad M at Preheats a mag?
The food was amazing! The Zydeco stuffed shrimp were fantastic, and the gumbo and étouffée were both delicious. We enjoyed Crawfish Étouffée, Smoked Duck Gumbo, and crawfish pasta as well. View all feedback.

What Diane A dislikes about Preheats:
If I could rate Prejeans with zero stars, I would. It's not that the service was bad; it simply didn’t exist. We waited over 15 minutes at our table without anyone attending to us. Several waitstaff passed by multiple times and completely ignored us. We were seated right next to the kitchen, so there’s no way they didn’t see us. We used to visit Lafayette just for Prejeans, but that won't be happening anymore. View all feedback.

I placed an order for two dozen oysters and a bowl of gumbo. The order came to $78. The oysters were burnt and the bowl of gumbo container was only half full when I got it. I brought the order back into a restaurant where I was told it would take five minutes to redo it. I got back oysters that were also scorched and additionally, doused in oil. I can't recommend this restaurant especially for the price that you pay to receive this type of food. The photos attached are a picture of the scorched oysters and the tremendous Amt of oil it left on the bag that I sat the box on.

Most of what we had was really great. The service was above and beyond. I did not care for the Crawfish Nachos appetizer as much as the rest of the meal. Blackened Catfish was primo. My wife's dish the Zydeco shrimp was not as good but still great. I feel like what you get for a $100 meal is a little lacking, but it is in no way bad food nor a bad experience. The star of the show was the Duck and Andouille Gumbo. Crawfish Nachos : 3 5 Blackened Catfish Entree : 4.5 5 Pepper Jack Mac : 3.75 5 Dinner Roll : 1.75 5 Zydeco Shrimp Entree : 4 5 Maque Choux : 4 5 Green Beans : 3 5 Duck Sausage Gumbo : 5 5 Turtle Cheesecake to-go : 4.5 5 Lighting and Vibe : 4.25 5 Parking : 4 5 Service : 5 5 Pricing Value : 3.25 5 Overall : 3.9 5

We've been making the drive from Texas to dine here for a few years now, and we try to come at least once a year! Unfortunately, it has been quite some time since our last visit. Although the menu has changed a bit, this trip did not disappoint! The service and food were just as amazing as always. We had a party of six and not a single complaint! If you love shrimp and grits, you absolutely have to try theirs—definitely a 10/10 from everyone at the table! The duck gumbo and fried green tomatoes are also among our all-time favorites, and the oysters were spot on. The red beans and rice are the best I've ever had at any restaurant! I can’t wait for our next visit. I’m sorry to say that our waiter was a young man whose name I didn’t catch, but he was fantastic!
