Keller's Bakery - Lafayette
Keller's Bakery
Description
Keller Bakery, a popular destination for sweet treats, boasts a rich history but faces contemporary challenges. While many patrons rave about their delicious king cakes and pastries, others have reported frustration with customer service, particularly regarding special orders. There are nostalgic mentions of cakes reminiscent of the bakery's golden years, contrasting with recent letdowns in flavor and variety. Despite these issues, loyal customers cherish the unique offerings and are willing to travel significant distances for a taste of their beloved desserts. Overall, the bakery remains a mixed bag of delightful treats and customer service struggles.

The fantastic lemon cake from five years ago and earlier was amazing, just like I remembered from my childhood in the 1950s and 60s, and even five or six years back. However, this weekend, the cake I bought was nothing like the original. From the batter to the filling, and missing those lovely roses on top, it was such a letdown. It’s disappointing to see this iconic bakery cutting corners. Where have Keller’s original recipes gone?
I ordered a custom pie from Keller's Bakery, and even a week later, the recipient can't stop raving about how incredibly delicious it was. Keller's, you absolutely nailed it. Thank you!
The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly. They offer some of the best pastries, cakes, and mouthwatering cookies. I was quite disappointed to discover that the Amaretto Cheesecake has been removed from the menu, particularly since my birthday is on December 2nd and I had hoped to order one. I also miss Mr. Tiger; he was one of my clients.
The desserts I had were decent. However, my kids really enjoyed the petit fours. The customer service was outstanding!
