Clara's Place - Lafayette

This is a GREAT country cooking restaurant. They have the best food around here. We eat there 3 r 4 times a week. There prices r GREAT too. There always polite I have never met a rude person there. So if you love southern country cooking this your place.

Old style great food. One of the best options for Sundays because most of the other places are closed. Reasonably priced home cooking

My 13 year old can cook better than the meal we received here. We stopped in on a road trip hoping to get some good country cookin. The food that was presented to us was so bad we thought we were being pranked at first. We ate what we could and kept going on our trip. Wished someone would've warned us before going in so that's the reason for this review. Road trippers go somewhere else. This place isn't what you want it to be.

The food is good, worth going and sitting down, but never do carryout. The first time we came in for carryout we stood there 15 minutes with no service, ended up leaving and going to the DairyDip, was waited on immediately. The second time I did a call in and I just sat for 20 min waiting on my food they didnt think was done. The whole time it was sitting on a rack without a warmer, you think you would look there first. And all I got was a sorry bout that, food was barely warm when I got it home.
