We're new to Lafayette, we're trying new restaurants. The first Mexican place we tried was disappointing, but Blue Apache was fabulous! You have several innovative dishes on the menu, but we like to start with our standbys as it is easy to judge against something we love elsewhere. I had a chimichanga and my husband had a burrito. Both were fabulous. Service was also very good. We'll be absolutely back. View all feedback.
What Camila Mills doesn't like about Blue Apache Mexican:
Have not eaten here since the name changed from Blue Agave to Blue Apache. The food quality has deminished. Chips were stale. Cheese sauce is not the same. Seasoning is bland. Shrimp and spinach enchiladas tasted like spinach enchiladas. Pricing has increase, value has decrease. Almost $40 dollars for a ho-hum meal. Too many great restaurants I'm town to support this one. Beware! View all feedback.
The food was exceptional and offered great prices, especially for children! The taco salad was bursting with flavor and just the right size for lunch. We also got a piece of cheesecake for our 5-year-old birthday boy. Our server, Adam, was incredibly gracious and quick!
I was a customer that supported this restaurant and I have made many orders from here before. I picked up some food today and got a call back from the manager named Bethany saying that cops were going to be called on me because the cashier gave me the over the amount of change, which I had no knowledge of this, because I rarely count my change back after going somewhere to buy something because I assume the cashier know what they are doing. I was appalled of this and it was unexpected. Bethany made it out like I was the villain in this situation and not the employee that GAVE ME the over the amount of change that he was suppose to carefully and correctly count back. Bethany should be fired for not training her employees well enough to give good customer service. It does not matter if the employee is below the age of 18, ALL employees should be trained well while working at a company so they know not to make careless mistakes. I will not be ordering here again.
I dont get it. How can this place be 4.5 stars...maybe its lunch or breakfast....or the bar....food was drowned in a bean gravy or topped with nacho cheese that compares to the 2.99 dollar nachos at 7 eleven.... 20.00 dollars for a single chimichanga buritto....stomach churning after meal. The positives are: 1. Fresh chips and salsa 2. Guacamole and sour cream are fresh The negatives: 1. The dinner 2. The prices
Oh my, you absolutely must try the vaca rellena! They stuff it generously, and Stephanie was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. I can’t wait to return with my family and friends, especially since they have a spacious area for larger groups. And don’t forget to grab a box to take some home!
As newcomers to Lafayette, we've been exploring different restaurants. Our first experience at a Mexican restaurant left us feeling let down, but Blue Apache was a delightful surprise! They offer a variety of innovative dishes, but we prefer to begin with our go-to favorites, as it's easier to compare them to those we enjoy at other places. I ordered a chimichanga, while my husband opted for a burrito. Both were excellent! The service was also impressive. We will definitely be returning.
