During Burger Week on January 3rd, I had a fantastic experience! They served a Brisket Burger topped with Brisket Burnt End Jam, sharp American cheddar cheese, fried onion straws, and roasted garlic black pepper mayo. The massive half-pound patty was super tender and smoky, topped with melty cheese. The brisket burnt end jam provided a subtle sweetness that was a lovely addition. It was really delicious!

My first time here. Clerk at the register was super helpful. Brisket was very tender and had a light smoky flavor.. salad was great. Dark green leaves, good salad dressing. Their sausage was good but a little different than I expected, the meat was ground fine and it seemed a little packey, kind of like a summer sausage..

Some of the absolute best smoked meat between Memphis, Gulf Shores and Houston. It's all been finger licking desicious. No napkins required as you'll suck the juices off your fingers. And man the sides. Like wow they are the best I have had ever.Great place for the whole family. The only downside is the hours of operation are limited to around noonish. That is the onlybummer.

Blanchard?s BBQ on W. Pinhook,Lafayette is incredible in this regard: If you are a BBQ fan, as serious as I am, you will taste the difference on your first visit. Brisket is a big item at almost every BBQ place in the South. But if you?ve eaten brisketrepeatedly at a place, you understand that it is hit and miss at most places regarding tenderness moistness (two differentaspects). But not at Blanchard?s. Matt Blanchard, the Pit Master cooks incredibly tender and moist brisket every single time! After eating at at least fifty BBQ restaurants over the last 55 years, I know the difference. Nobody comes closer se toBlanchard?s- period! Not in LA, TX, AL, MS, MT, The Carolina?s or anywhere else. By default, on a day when they ran out ofbrisket, I had more choice but to eat ribs. Those were pretty darn good too! Great dark, smoked appearance, tender yet with acrunchy crust, I?ll be ordering them again. But in my opinion, Matt?s brisket is unbeatable. You should give it a try.

I ordered the brisket and fries. The fries were cool at best and soggy. The brisket was so fatty I couldn't make it through two bites. I tried to pick out the fat and go for the second bite and got another bite of fat. None of the sauces were good. Thesolution I was offered was ordering it more lean. I'm not sure why you'd sell a pound of brisket and make half of it fat.
