Agave Mexican Grill Cantina - Lafayette

Our waitress, Nicole, was amazing. Very sweet and professional. The food was amazing. Very pleasant first experience. Highly recommend this place.

I placed a catering order over the phone for 16 people the afternoon before I needed to pick it up. I was impressed by how accommodating and polite they were during our call. When I arrived, the bartender, Foster, had my order ready and boxed up at the bar. He even helped me carry it to my car. I've ordered catering fajitas for my office at least four times now, and the quality has always been excellent. I often look for meals that can cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences, and nobody has ever complained about the Agave fajitas! It's such a delightful meal, and I will definitely continue to order it for my office meetings!

Food is unseasoned. Very bland. Service good. Atmosphere was loud.

Went for dinner during Happy Hour where they advertised 2 for 1 Margaritas but because they were holding a concert across the street at the Cajundome the server told me they were not honoring it. The place seemed understaffed for the event so service was not at its best. I ordered a beef chimichanga and it arrived to the table quickly. The food was simple Tex-Mex which I was satisfied with and would order my entree again. The establishment is quite loud but otherwise they have plenty of parking and they have indoor and patio seating available and are adjacent to both the Cajundome and Cajunfield so it's convenient for those looking for lunch or dinner before an event.

The food was disappointing. The chips tasted burnt, even after we asked for fresh ones. We ordered the chicken chimichangas, but they were mostly filled with rice and had very little chicken. It might have been acceptable if the rice hadn't been so dry. Overall, it just wasn't to our liking.
