Tgi Fridays Lafayette

I made this reservation 13. August for a party of ten after the Purdue Christmas exhibition on Sunday, 8 December. I got an email on Saturday 7. December of Open Table ask if I would still come to which I answered yes. When we arrived at the TGI on Friday, they had no knowledge of our reservation and said Open Table does not work whatever that means. Luckily, they weren't busy and were able to put us quickly. We sat a while before a waiter finally came to take our drinks orders. At this point we were ready to order both drinks and food and went ahead and did so. The waiter seemed unorganized and slow, although the restaurant was not busy. When we finally got our food, it wasn't quite served, but not too far away. Once again, just somehow disorganized. The food was good, so no complaints. I found it strange that I made this reservation in advance and they knew nothing about it.

I think they were seriously understaffed, but our server only checked for us once and at the time the check was due we waited almost 20 minutes

Tonight was a disaster. Ironically, our reservations made with this site did not work in the restaurant because their reservation system did not work. So you had a lobby full of people, with reservations, wonder what happened. We were set fast for the managers loans. We ordered 3 ducks from Sirloin Steak and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was brought out for some reason as an appetizer, while we wait about 20 minutes or so for the rest of the ducks. They came, but two steaks were well made and one was boiled (except rare), although we all specified “medium”. It was also lukewarm and the plate was room temperature. Only one entree received the broccoli (they ran apparently) and they were not even cooked raw and warmed up. The rest of our party never got all its sides. We sympathized with the server that profusely apologized, but the damage was done. This is no longer the Fridays we grew up with the last 20 years, this was a complete mistake.

The service was terrible from the beginning. Restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were greeted and asked how many people...5. They continued their conversation that we interrupted so rudely while we grabbed menus and forks and then went to our table after ~2 minutes of chatting before us. We sat without drinks or were greeted by our waiter for another ~10 minutes. During dinner we were only visited 2 times by our waiter (as we bring drinks, and once with food). Lighting was terrible, service was terrible, and the mood in the restaurant seemed a bit tense. No pleasant culinary experience.

The food was good and service was very attentive. We would return to this location again.
