My co-worker and I stayed through our lunch break and we decided to order from there. My first time. I'm on a 8-week challenge and, for that meal, was limited to certain vegetables and a protein. They will make any sandwich into a salad! I was covered. While picking up the food, I noticed tons of home-made goodies. A warm, clean atmosphere. Their staff were pleasant and accommodating. I'm impressed. View all feedback.
Go there with my lady friend Elizabeth, for cream cinnamon buns, very good, price a wee bit high . Cant sit inside because of covid but thats ok
Efficient, quaint, freindly, affordable, healthy, plant-based options. Bit off beaten path but worth it. Go-to every time we visit.
The soup here is better than your Mom's, yes I'll fight you for it. There is really no place like this anywhere else I've been: well done, Lacombe. The menu is well focused on two things: Soup and Sandwich the greatest culinary lunch love-story...of all time, with a pickle on the side I'm not even going to ramble on with all of the delicious, fresh, local foodie highlights or even mention the cheesecakes (DARNIT, they're just so good If you want to keep your calories in check, make any sandwich a salad. That way it cancels out the cinnamon bun appetizer, probably. I have been coming here for years but never wrote a review in an attempt to selfishly keep the lunch-rush lineup at a minimum; but alas, the good word has clearly gotten out. So best to call your order in ahead of time if you're in a hurry do NOT rush these lovely ladies in their craft, they are hustling HARD.
Today my wife suggested we drive to Eastside’s Eatery and take home two Gobbler boxes. I wasn’t sure about the idea as the cost for the two of us would be but I thought we should support some local restaurants during this crisis and...I was surprised with what we got. We got an impressive pile of fixings for making turkey sandwiches: a loaf of homemade bread, a large container of turkey, a loaf of stuffing, cheddar cheese slices, cranberry sauce, and two slices of cheesecake! Mind you, the picture was taken after we had made and ate two sandwiches.
I have visited Eastside Eatery on many occasions and have never met something I didn't like. Their Gobbler sandwich is probably my favorite. Their homemade soups are always a hit (especially the cheeseburger one) and their chili is divine. I've not had their cheesecake, but...from those I know who have, they are a fan.
