Pretty standard Viet place, in a plaza with a lot of other Vietnamese joints so I expected it to be tasty. The menu was very large, they also had many tables and place was busy on a Saturday night. I came here with 7 friends and half of us were Viet. Waitstaff were nice and accommodating. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (my usual). Broth was not super hot and I wish there was more meat. We only got 1 plate of bean sprouts... View all feedback.
What Joyce C doesn't like about Thomi 99 Vietnamese:
I was surprised that this restaurant does not confirm vaccination status. I had my ID and QR code ready to show them. As I walked in, the staff directed me to sit at a table. I walked over and put my phone down on the table. The staff glanced at my phone and said 'ok '. So, 'ok ' what? The staff did not ask for my ID, did not check or ask for my status. I could have had any QR code on my phone. How is this practice p... View all feedback.
Great service, very fast for pickup, and safe pandemic procedures. The food is fresh and great portion sizes.
I took a few days to consider this one. I really just did not enjoy it here. The service was not great but I could get over that if the food was really good. The problem was that it wasn't. I ordered the chicken Pho w rice noodles and added vegetables. The broth was bland and didn't have much taste. The chicken was pre cooked pieces probably from a pre bought rotisserie chicken. All dark meat, barely any quantity, and the pieces had cartilage on them. Barely gave me any vegetables. For a large I expected better quantity. The thing that made this go from a 3 to ultimately a 2 was that my stomach was really hurting for the rest of the night. This never happens to me when I've had pho at other places.
I was craving pho yesterday so I came here and ordered the 99 Special pho (beef) and it was really good. The Bún bò Hu is also delicious although the broth is not spicy enough. Next time im in the area, I'll definitely come back here
Probably the largest Vietnamese restaurant I have ever seen. I estimate that this place can seat 80 to 100 people. We were fist ones there so service was fast of course. Tried a bowl of pho. Soup was good. Decent amount of beef and tripe. Overall a decent bowl of pho. Nothing special to report on.
One of the biggest Vietnamese restaurants in Vaughan! Not only is the physical space big. They've got a huge, extensive and exhaustive menu. So many unique dishes that aren't available elsewhere. I noticed the Family Specials, Fondues and Combinations Menu which looks great for larger parties. They have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Plus they even serve Veggies, Squid, Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Pork and Frog which I'm told tastes like chicken. The owner is very nice and the staff are friendly too.
