Visiting old Montreal, my wife and I noticed a Chinese tourist eating one and asked where he got it. He pointed to a truck parked by the Jaques Cartier sign by the old port. We rushed to find a line had formed. There was a lady preparing the Waffles and two young men handling the orders. They were polite and even had a point of sale system set up on an IPad. My wife had the chocolate waffle but I insisted on a natural. Hers cost 5 Canadian dollars, mine was 4. Well worth the price. I went back this evening but could not find the truck, to my disappointment. Authentic and we'll worth it.

Unfortunately Lachine and Dorval are a bit of a coffee-desert and we looked forward to checking this place out.The first time the owner was there, the food was pretty good but all the utensils were paper cups and plates and really flimsy plastic cutlery. We mentioned this to her and only returned for the second time now.So this time time they actually had real utensils but the service? The service consisted of a young man who was completely disengaged and apparently disinterested in his work. He also had absolutely no ability to prioritize. And in Montreal, I'm sorry most folks here who are under 30 are bilingual and are pragmatic enough to use whichever language works. I am not a native Montrealer and I would say I've got maybe a 50% capability in French, and lord knows I try. But this fellow made no effort whatsoever.Additionally we probably waited 15 minutes for our coffees and the service, from an organizational point of view, was a weird hodge-podge in which my wife got her coffee first, we then got our food, while my coffee was still sitting under the espresso machine.Never again.
