What User doesn't like about The Depot:
I didn 't think it felt very homey and the food was uninspired. I would give it 2 stars except that the solo waitress hustled to keep up. I should have driven to Alpena. Meatloaf: bland Onion rings: homemade? Just like mom heated up Green beans: good View all feedback.

The Depot is one of my favorites. We always make a point to stop by when we're in the area. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic. It's just like enjoying a great home-cooked meal.
The building may not look like much, but don’t underestimate this little restaurant—it has the best breakfast around! I’ve never had better hash browns or homemade toast anywhere else! The service is fantastic too!
Went for pizza and the garlic sticks and they were good. sticks were a big portion for the price. Seen some very good looking home cooked meals being served. Which we will be back for next trip to MI
Very friendly staff but didn't get any food. Just needed directions. Had to wait a few minutes because the door chime didn't go off but I wasn't in a rush. For first timers like me and my sister, we didn't know we could go into the kitchen entrance to ask for help. Maybe a bell or sign for someone to let you know they're there when staff is busy in the back could be helpful
