Description

Nestled in Thurston County, this local Chinese-American eatery earns praise for friendly, speedy service, generous portions at times, and bold, well-executed flavors—Mongolian beef, egg flower soup and citrus sweet-and-sour stand out. Takeout and delivery are reliable, and spice levels are customizable. However recent patrons note inconsistent quality: shrinking portions, occasional greasiness, uneven sauces and price increases have dampened longtime fans’ enthusiasm. Cleanliness reports vary, but many still return for convenient, flavorful comfort food.

03/02/2024: Pretty standard American Chinese food. The two of us ordered the chicken wings, honey walnut shrimp, a special A and C. Chicken wings came hot and freshly fried. Nice a crispy. I would not recommend the honey walnut shrimp. There was too much sauce which was overpowering and the walnuts were quite crunchy. Our specials included egg roll and fried rice. One with sweet sour chicken and Mongolian beef the other with sweet sour pork and chicken chow mein. The batter wasn't too thick and had a nice crunch. Noodles were crispy style and short noodles like on a salad topping, not my preference. Mongolian beef was a bit charred. We'll go back to try other dishes.Overall we were satisfied and service was really friendly and prompt.

I'm not sure what has happened to this place. It has always been one of my family's favorites since I was a kid. However, in the past year, we've experienced consistently disappointing food, yet we kept supporting our beloved local business. This year, I've reached my limit. With rising prices, shrinking portion sizes, and changes in the flavor and preparation of the dishes, I'm uncertain if I'll return. The food we picked up on Valentine's Day was terrible—stale rice that had clearly been sitting for too long, meat that didn't resemble what it used to be, and our containers were only half full and soaked in grease, ruining the meal. Given the amount we paid, I expected much better. I hope they can turn things around quickly.

Thurston County just does not have good Chinese food. The food was ok. It wasn't bad but it was not satisfying my desire to eat good Chinese. The place was clean. The service was really good and friendly. I really want to like this place and though I like the woman that served us I was not in love with the food. I drove all the way from west Olympia to try it out so at least my curiosity was filled but my heart was left half empty.

Food was mediocre. Our server was amazing, super nice and friendly. Atmosphere had a rundown neglected feeling.

I've been here a few times. The waiters and waitresses here are phenomenal. Very friendly and some of the fastest service I've seen at a sit-down restaurant. Aside from that, I consider it some of, if not the best, Chinese food in the area. The portions are a little smaller than typical Chinese places, and they're a lottle spendy, but they make up for it with flavor and great service. My favorite from them so far is probably the Mongolian beef. And their egg flower soup was really good too!
