It was on the occasion of 2 days of handling in Lacaune that we took a room for a single and small breakfast; without special expectations; from the backdrop, tired and dusty, the welcome we pleasantly surprised:sympathetic, natural and spontaneous while remaining simple and effective.joly rooms with bathroom and toilet, implacably clean and very comfortable!! And thank you for that and for the little extra shower gel... View all feedback.
First, the place doesn't look so much. a typical two-star hotel restaurant overlooking the main square of lacaune. we only thought of a drink and found the dinner menu very appealing, so we stayed to eat. we were not disappointed! the best restaurant food I've eaten for a long time. unpretentious, classic fön with some innovative dralls. well balanced flavors and high quality products. for the starter: a fantastic combination of bounty apples and foie grass in perfect connection. that is the heaven. for the main course: sourris d’agneau, juicy and perfectly coked and served with a funny type of peeled tomato somehow dehydrated on the outside but almost raw inside, very fine taste. my dessert: crepe suzette was good, but perhaps not as exceptional, but served with a very tasty homemade orange sorbet. the café gourmand was also very interesting. the prices were average, but the food quality was far above the standard.
There for lunch on the way to our gite, the portions are quite large and the kitchen is quite heavy from nature, but everything is very tasty and the local ingredients are of fantastic quality (the owner will give them quite happy about them. different types of cows that they can find in the opposite). it was a bit outside the season, so the place was far full, but all in all a very pleasant lunch. we had only two courses (mainly dessert) if they order a starter, I would recommend to get some light or forget.
We hardly knew that the place was open until we were spinning through the window and saw the people in it. the menu was typical French in the did typical tarn. I had the trip and my wife had the fish, the food came through in a few minutes and was hot pierced. I'm not so sharp on the trip, but when it was lacaune, I thought I'd let it go. I suppose for those who like trip, it would have been excellent the fish of my wife was also excellent. the service was very friendly and efficient, although they must be ready to speak French. the owner came to talk to us and made us feel very welcome. the portions were huge and we had to leave the third cursor because we were both full. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We love the restaurant here good selection of dishes and menus, fantastic local cuisine well prepared, and a few exotic specialties just wonderful.
We went there on day before the Connacht vs Castres rugby match. It was packed and clearly run by a family who made service look easy and had no problem coping with the crowd. All the food was delicious and the portion size large. Plenty...of local specialities with Lacaune being the home of 'Jambon ' . It all made for a very enjoyable unpretentious meal the main course was a little oily for my taste or perhaps I should say 'buttery 'but if I ever find myself in that beautiful mountain town again I shall certainly pay this restaurant a visit.
