When I heard the name Riders, I remembered the party youth hostel from back then... It has since developed into a stylish hotel with a culinary concept that, in my opinion, is worthy of a 5-star hotel.

In g... read more The staff here is absolutely awesome! All of them were very hospitable and friendly. Both dinner and breakfast was unique, high quality and very enjoyable. In general the hotel is full of little details which makes it special and gives an higher end feel. The nights were not ok. The beds are very soft and our room was in front of a half pipe. At night there are groups of people who smoke and party outside and it caused a lot of noise and smell of cigarettes inside the room. The first night we called reception and they successfully requested the people to move. The second night there were people even with a bluetooth speaker playing music till 3AM. Nobody at the hotel picked up the phone (tried 20 times) and we all didn't sleep. I think in general what you have to know about this hotel that it is good value if you go with friends when you share a room and it is expensive (300CHF per night) if you just go as a couple. Meaning there are groups who spend less who come to party and set that kind of atmosphere and there are couples who pay a lot (and expect a lot) but find themselves in a party-type atmosphere and don't accept the noise of partying people all night long. We were financially compensated by the reception which was very professional but which we would have known before how the concept works.
