Had a perfect sunny lunch out here. the brot with cheese and the ham/ salami plate is simply delicious. for the net had mixed salate and pizocle (like gnocchi but better). I shared the pizocle and salate with a friend. had some ketchup on. the side with the pizokel (sorry). the desserts are simply deliciously loved the chocolate cake and something local like a cheesecake. everyone loved the wein and aperol splash. make a reservation as the place is too busy for lunch, especially if you want to sit outside on a sunny day. also everything is expensive in flims. so they expect about 60-70 Swiss francs or more to lunch with drinks and dessert.

Capalari kitchen team and house front changed a few years ago, and it has been downhill since. we try to give the place a chance one or two times per ski season, as it was our fixed favourite (and even dinner). before the nightski) in his golden years. but it is still a great disappointment. such a scandal! pizokel was the signature court in capalari and came in three super tasty sorts; now they get a kind, and it is in the ground only in fat drop, but apart from that without much taste. no decent salad for choice, the soup is not what it was earlier, there are no more beef on the menu, and. must I continue? service: at our first visit in this season (jan. 2020) we had young women who were completely overwhelmed by what was going on, could not remember, supply or serve them. the second visit (last week, feb 2020) we were talking about a man who chats with other guests and employees for age groups, even though we desperately tried to get his attention. it took a long time to get our desserts, let alone the bill, but then he had the boldness to ask for a tip. we will try it in the season 2020/2021 because. hope will shine forever. bring the old band back!

We went there every year, eating was very good. but this is history that eating is terrible, takes forever to get the order and usually served cold. and we had a good look at how the cook already pre-impregnated warm. dessert, which sat on sideboard for 45 minutes, just to serve someone else! and of course everything is too expensive, even for laax. please don't order the gerste suppe amymore it's a schand

In the middle of the ski action on **** sogn gion, a place to avoid the self-service atmosphere around the corner. beautiful terrace, if sunny, long tables inside, open kitchen. Previously it was the pool area of the hotel long ago...(if the hotel was still a hotel and not a hostel). every season different people use, but always relaxed, friendly. Make sure you have a reservation, sunny days when you want to set the day on the terrace. solid food, typical of kanton grisons (capuns et al,) good basis for a long ski day. do not expect light, healthy kitchen. the restaurant could work on the wine selection, but...standard choice without much creativity, already for years "0815 in Swiss German".

A multi-family, multi-generational meal, this time Sunday lunch after a perfect morning of sun-kissed skiing. But how to find Capalari in the complexity of the middle-station cable-car building? OK you find somewhere to leave your skis and sticks, hoping they are too old and scarred...to be worth someone else nicking; but then it’s a long tramp around various levels both internal and external with no clear signage before it appears. But it is worth the search; and we spread ourselves around a large square rustic table and enjoyed a wide variety of things from the menu washed down with reviving lager. It was someone else’s turn to pay so I cannot tell if it was very expensive or merely eye-watering! But I would cheerfully return (and intend to before the season finishes). And red run 64 brought me safely back to the valley and the (amazingly well coordinated) bus and train back to Zurich.
