We visited L'Escale de l'Huitre whilst on holiday in Royan and Bordeaux. The place is very unassuming and not on the tourist trail. Tables are formica, seats basic and the building is a shed. Who cares? The oysters are incredible no matter which size and quality we sampled. The moules eclade were the star of the show.
