The food here was good and located well within the camping park, however the prices charged make it prohibitive to go as a large group or very often. Still, we had a nice time and enjoyed the wonderful view of the ocean. View all feedback.
We come here for the campsite as well as the restaurant. Aside from the first day we were here when we saw the sea about fifteen minutes in the afternoon, the fog came back. In the evening the rain began, but it was quite cozy under the covered part of the restaurant with the heaters. I haven't been able to see any changes in the menu since last year, which is a pity. I went to start the Assiette iberico belotta, but was informed a little later that it was not available, but that a tapas dish was available from ham chorizo and cheese. That wasn't half as good as I remember the Assiette, but at least it was cheaper. P began with the aumoniere de chevre they enjoyed. She continued with a burger she enjoyed and I had the calfsniere that was pretty good. We have to share with apple cake. The dessert sections are massive and half of one is quite enough, even for us. This was the last weekend the restaurant and the campsite opened, and it was in the number of menu items that were no longer available. On our second evening there was no caffeine wine, but we had a pretty good organic red from Gers. Service is always very professional here and in good weather the view cannot be improved.
We stopped in for lunch after visiting the Dune and everything about the experience was terrific. The restaurant is inside a campground, so you need to get access from the reception desk so you can enter the grounds and park. The restaurant itself is situated...with a big outdoor deck overlooking the ocean with a view of Banc d'Arguin. Our North American eating timetable served us well; when we arrived at 12:30 there was plenty of seating but when we departed the place was almost full. Service was good; the staff were friendly and helpful. The food itself was exceptional. My wife had a tasty pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and ham, and I had the plate of the day: lamb chops. The meat was a bit tough (as is most meat in France, I find) but the flavour was outstanding. As an added bonus, midway through our meal the parasailers started gliding by, providing entertainment as we ate.

We ate here twice whilst staying at the attached campsite. The first time we thought the food was great and enjoyed it until the bill came. The second time by luck we ate before 3pm and noticed a menu of the day for 20 euros for 3 courses, 2 wines, 2 coffees and the food quality and portion size was excellent for the money.
We ate lunch and dinner; the highlight was lunch.Carpaccio of Duck – fantasticLamb chops with haricots ancient – beans and lardons in a white sauce. Couldn't fault it, the beans were particularly good.Crepe with pineapple. Jolly good and, the top laden with pineapple, but I think I'm slightly allergic to it. This is the second time my mouth has gone a bit funny after eating pineapple. No need to talk about the views, they can't be bettered.Service here was totally professional and friendly for lunch and dinner.
