Good tradition. I always find bread late.
I feel so strongly about this bakery, that I created a listing on TripAdvisor....which isn't the easiest thing to do. Takes a while to find the add listing page. Anyway, we always try to walk away from the touristy areas when we get of our Princess Ship when in Port. This was our first cruise to Europe and our very first visit to France, so we were a bit apprehensive because of what you hear. We chose not to get on the ferries over to Toulon and walked from the pier toward the main town of La Seyne-sur-Mer. The walk was deserted and we finally ran into a French Bakery. Richard Levilly. We went in and knew nothing about the pastries or what we were looking at. We knew we wanted an éclair and then we picked like 6 other pastries....we go all out for two of us! The person that helped us at the register was so nice, it made us feel at ease with our visit. When we sat down, she came over and spoke quite a bit to us about the town and her trip to New York and Washington, DC. We thoroughly enjoyed our pastries and the company. Thank you very much. We then enjoyed sitting there first thing in the morning, watching everyone come in and getting their baguettes and even eating these wonderful meat and cheese baguette sandwiches for breakfast! This is my kind of place. I don't know why this place wasn't already listed on TripAdvisor or if it is, why I couldn't find it. I hope others find this helpful. This was the first time that I took the trouble to create a listing.
