a dynamic and smiling welcome in a beautiful, warm and welcoming setting! the meal looks like the establishment with a touch of lightness and elegance given by dorothée in the kitchen! fresh, noble products, delicately staged, but photocopying plate! time is left to taste, to talk. It's a nice moment!!!! View all feedback.
What Nonsuch-Delight doesn't like about Mas Du Belier Le:
A stunning setting, excellent service and delicious wine can not make up for very ordinary food. Starters a black rice and prawn concoction was tasty. But the pork for the main course let it down. A blob of dry meat with a barbeque sauce. Desert was a raspberry pannacotta. However what I got was a raspberry jelly. It was very tasty, but a pannacotta it was not! On the plus side, the waitress worked incredibly hard an... View all feedback.
We visited this restaurant having eaten here and enjoyed the setting and food when we came 6 years ago. We asked for a table for 8 people, specifying that there were four young children in our group. Immediately the greeting turned less than welcoming. When the waiter came to take our order, we asked that rather than all ordering mains (which would have been far too big for a 2 and 4 year old) we would order 5 menus, some made up of starters, mains and desserts and share with the littlest ones. The waiter began to berate me for not ordering mains for the young kids, saying it wouldnt be enough food. I asked if we could order an additional dish if we needed to after, and was met with a tirade about how the chef wouldn't make any more food for us, as they would be looking to clear the table for the next people. I then asked if we could have some bread while we waited, which in turn was met with aggression and disdain. He would bring us bread with starters not before, given we weren't ordering mains for everyone and were clearly wanting to freeload on bread! At this point i started to become upset as the waiter continued to use a completely innapropriate tone when we had been polite and friendly towards him. Had he expressed himself differently, asked us nicely to move to a smaller table, we would have happily done so. If he had said from the start that young children not ordering mains weren't welcome, we could have simply gone elsewhere. At this point though, tired and humiliated by our treatment, we got up and left. Something i have never had to do in any restaurant. (I am french and spoke french to the waiter throughout, so there were no language miscommunications).
My experience from this place !! I don't know where start, just to make short. We order our food but somehow lost in communication, I got the wrong meal. The arrogant rude waiter told us we have to pay the full price and would not change my meal. He started shouting and said if I did not pay for the meal he would call the police. I was very shocked by his angry response.
Given the fresh weather of this season, we ate inside. very hot setting. friendly, professional and attentive boss. delicious dishes. perfectly respected kitchen. budget according to the quality of the meal. A very nice address!
