Nice place for a drink and a snack. Can not comment on the lunch menu or the food served because they had run out of food just before we got there (a large group of people had just left). We met a super nice waiter...More

This was a midday surprise! Tucked away (but with good signage) in the village near Rochepot Chateau, this restaurant is staffed by immigrants from many war-torn nations. As the hostess said, they appear fine, but many are broken inside. Our waiter was a former Afghan translator for the US military, so naturally his English was very good; he was happy to use it again. it was easy to chat between courses. The 3-course menu (only Euros 13) was plentiful and tasty. Our large salad was so filling, we wondered where we would fit two more courses -- somehow we managed! The dining space is filled with colorful artwork by local artists; the tables and chairs are brightly painted and include whimsical depictions of a set table. Open Tuesday-Fridays.

We stumbled upon this very very recently opened place today after a very very long series of hill climbs from Meursault via St Aubin and Blagny. We were well famished and were warmly greeted by the delightful ladies who run this pretty little cafe that is set in a beautiful garden with fruit trees, roses , vegetables, etc. the room was filled with modern art and a local patron informed us that the cafe had only very very recently opened and was a particularly welcome addition to what is otherwise a fairly scant choice of venues for diners in the village. Well worth a visit and the hostesses are very charming.

The staff is friendly, the setting is original, the meals are good, but lack of organisation
